Doherty, officially the Township of Doherty, is a city in Pelham, New Chandler. Located about 40 miles North of New Chandler City and about 18 miles Southwest of Roseburgh, Doherty is the least populous city in Pelham, with a population of 2,338,365 at the 2008 census. Doherty is one of New Chandler's leading manufacturing cities, as well as a tourist city, with Mount Doherty. Several foreign students especially from the United States, attend White University, a private college about two miles from the city center.
Doherty was also a key city in the New Chandler Unification and Independence War, as it was the site of the Battle of Doherty, the turning point of the war.
